Description: The arguments against AI in 2026 are the ones we made against cloud in 2011, and we lost that one. On lock-in, ownership, and running your own models.

An article written by me, feel free to message me about it here.

What are your thoughts on everyone just using onion services and becoming their own cloud again?

I think the model for self hosting actually works and scales again here. I really don't even understand why anyone bothers with jumping through all the hoops anymore when something like onion services exist.

Ive been thinking about this a lot and how individual may not survive long term in a world of hyper aware LLM's.

Im not really even sure what utility a gmail or outlook provides anymore aside from professional environments where the network effect is useful.
