Unfortunately, in recent weeks, it has become all too common to see the entire territory of Ukraine under air-raid alerts at night. By clicking on the icons on the map, you can access a quick percentage breakdown for the past week for each Raion. The page
https://www.mavo.org.pl/en/areas displays summaries of air raids-currently focusing on nighttime events, though I am also collecting data on daytime alerts; I just haven’t had the time to standardize and add them yet, though it is on my to-do list. You can also review statistics on the types of weapons used in attacks over periods of up to 180 days. (The website has been live since August, but I have been gathering data for longer, and-regrettably-it looks like I will continue to do so.)
At
https://www.mavo.org.pl/en/analysis, you can experiment with weekly breakdowns and begin to identify initial trends. I personally import the data into Splunk, where I spend my spare time analyzing it to uncover new patterns and regularities.
Right below the map, there’s also a slider that lets you track how the alerts have evolved over the past few days—showing where they appeared and where they cleared. And thanks for the kind words!
