While the conclusion that frequent ejaculation reduces the risk of prostate cancer was a rather obvious and expected result, what is quite surprising is that the frequency of ejaculations when young had a greater weight than the frequency of ejaculations in old age, despite the fact that what happened when young was separated by decades from the diagnostics of prostate cancer when old.

Anecdotal evidence: many monks end up having prostate cancer, including famous saints of Eastern Orthodoxy.

But didn't Tim Ferris in his bod say that the more often you ejaculate, the shorter you live? His rationale (based on talking to doctors, scientists, etc.) was that semen production is prioritized for the allocation of many nutrients. So if you do expend them too often, but don't get enough from your diet, you deplete your body of them.

    > The scientists found no evidence that frequent ejaculations mark an increased risk of prostate cancer. In fact, the reverse was true: High ejaculation frequency was linked to a decreased risk. Compared to men who reported 4–7 ejaculations per month across their lifetimes, men who ejaculated 21 or more times a month enjoyed a 31% lower risk of prostate cancer.

Unless I missed it, it doesn’t speculate why?
