    That website has really changed.

It used to report on tesla stuff pretty objectively all the time.

Now the tesla articles are uniformly negative biased, and it has lots and lots of cheapo-amazon-stuff articles that are thinly veiled advertisements-for-cash / affliliate links.

Elon Musk has changed to, this is the reaction and is wide spread across the globe

That might be true, but super biased negative authors end up pulling attention to themselves instead of convincing anyone of their point of view.

I think better reporting might present things in a neutral tone and let the reader decide for themselves.

Note that I think that goes for over the top positive sites too, that aren't skeptical enough.

I thought daring fireball/john gruber was too lenient wrt apple, but in the last couple years, he has become a little more skeptical, called out apple and generally done a better job of reporting.

I think Elon has already convinced people himself, the authors are after clicks, i.e. the rage bait economy

I already know that Citizens United (unlimited money in politics) has done terrible things. The rich have more sway and influence than they deserve.

There is a reason "oligarchy" is being used more each day. You see it too, the oligarchy in action, it's taken over both sides.

"And a new FEC report shows that Musk’s bribes are accelerating. He has spent $366 million during the 2026 midterms, with $276 million spent since July. That’s even more than the $288 million he spent during the 2024 election. This makes him the single biggest issuer of political bribes during this election cycle."

This is a political donation, not 'bribes'. Every wealthy person in the United States does this. Why focus on Musk? When Zuckerberg spent $500 million to stop Republicans in elections across the country, did we see these same articles? It's just so convenient how these things only go one way.

"In fact, just this last week, Musk intimated that James Talarico, the Democratic candidate for Texas Senate, was in a mental hospital in Ohio… "

He was in a hospital for weeks with the 'flu' and looks completely healthy. This is suspicious.

The main problem is that Liberals pushed too hard for EVs without the proper infrastructure. Then they wanted to give no incentive to buy them by removing tax incentives for drivers.

The rising cost of electricity doesn't help either.

Countries like China are getting ahead because they can easily get cheap energy in the form of coal. They don't care about regulations.

It is an iterative process, when one of them loses their status a bit, another one rises with similar attributes to take their place to become the next zillionaire. So it is not about whether he is better or worse than the rest but rather it is about the structure that allows this process to manifest where one individual can corner an industry or whatever.

What are the causes are pretty much known but since the USA is on the collecting side and it can use them to collect rent from other countries through their takeover of a given technology, the persist. In fact US subsidizes them to get there and does everything possible including changing the laws to give them a boost. They are like weapons to create new cash flow regardless of their ethics.
