Newsweek saw the steepest decline year on year, down 62% to 35.8 million visits, followed by Indian newsbrands the Hindustan Times (down 56% to 76.9 million) and News 18 (down 53% to 66.4 million). In August, the two India-based sites saw the biggest year-on-year traffic declines, again with a decrease in visits of more than 50%.

France-headquartered Euronews saw the biggest increase in traffic year on year, almost doubling its monthly visits by 99% to 44.8 million.

This was followed by One India (up 44% to 102.8 million visits) and Substack (up 37% to 172.2 million).

The remaining newsbrands that saw growth include Al Jazeera (up 14% to 64.5 million), Variety (up 9% to 38.4 million), US politics site The Hill (up 2% to 35.5 million) and Canadian broadcaster CBC (up 0.3% to 59.6 million).
