This has been a problem for so long, not just Meta but all the "digital dependencies". Worst of all the EU recognized this issue, legislated transparency and recourse, but appeals are almost entirely ignored.

    > Meta provided relevant content for fewer than 100 out of more than 4,600 account ban cases, the report said, "causing significant frustration among users".

Good for her, she's free at last! Never look back

In a way you're right but that should have been her choice not forced out with no warning nor recourse. Also she was using META for marketing so this will affect her bottom line, she was basically kicked off the market...

A business model that relies on a platform you have no control over is a bad idea, always has been. For years, many businesses were reliant on Google's search algorithm and many were wiped out every time Google changed it. Youtube can kill a channel and end a business model for any reason and without notice. No person has a right to an account on a privately owned platform. The suffering comes when a person forgets this and takes their account for granted to the extent that they bet their income on it always being there for them. It's just not true in reality.

In theory I agree wholeheartedly. But what's the alternative for these users to do marketing? Also remember that a lot of these folks have no idea that they can be ejected from a platform with no reason/recourse..

Meta and Google are in effect, utilities which regulate themselves.

    The result is predictable.

The current ultra-libertarian trend makes this even worse. i.e.
