I think they are doing more than vpn! seems like it is an agentic network platform! super cool though, would be good for my agent!

They created Agent Defined Networking! Like Software Defined Networking but where agents control your network. I am optimistic because they own the full stack. Hardware and everything.

Very obvious this thread is being shilled. This account is newer than the thread and is "optimistic" lol. The other comments also read like shameless shilling, and they were all posted right after the thread went up.

Also Doxx is a pretty bad name for a VPN, since "dox" means to publicly identify someone or publish their private information.

they have a discord group and have decent amount of users, the founder built a bunch of cool project and his hacker name was doxx before doxxing was even a thing. I get that there's many "shilled" topic in HN so we felt that way!

No shot 'agentic networking' is getting glaze on HN where every single top comment is some derivitive of "I'm tired of slop".

This is just some VC that got tricked by the "we're addressing this market with cap X, and NO ONE ELSE IS USING AI WEEEeeEEE"

This can only go one of two ways: Adding bloat and therefore latency in the best case, or agents leaking all your shit because you were sending unencrypted data over VPN "because VPN".

In the very best of cases, it's still under US jurisdiction. There is no such thing as a US no-log VPN because when hit with legally binding demands, the company must either allow for monitoring from the time of the demand without notifying the user or simply shutter their business.

If there are no logs in the first place there is nothing they can do because no data gets stored or saved. Also all the hardware (the full stack) is owned by doxx.net. Come check it out. try and break the claims you'll see that the product is for the people.

The US government can force you to start keeping logs using secret FISA court orders.
        • TheWeiHu2 hours ago
that's my concern about "no log" too, and it seems like some people from their team found this post & are commenting - so maybe they could address this

they own their own server, and ensures there's no logs but since they're US-based, I'm a bit skeptical about the regulations they have to follow
