There really has to be a better alternative to NOVA for these studies, it makes it very difficult to separate specific preparation steps or additives from the effect of "people with money and free time to cook at home are healthier", creating an environment where people can simultaneously interpret "no UPFs" as "no fast food" and see the benefits they would from almost any reasonable planned diet, or as "no food processing whatsoever" and start trying to DIY baby formula
