      It's an interesting question. The Trump organization and supporters seem to make these mistakes relatively often. When Trump was challenging the 2020 election, many court filings contained obvious mispellings and other errors.

      It's not politically significant - it's not a reason to vote against Trump. It is socially very curious: it's both unprofessional and weirdly malfunctional - almost any text creation platform flags misspelling automatically - and it's hard to explain how the behavior is widespread in a broad group. Rudy Guliani, for example, had been a real, serious attorney; how could he submit that work product?

        Or maybe Trump’s just unable to get competent people to work for him; that kinda tracks too.

          I've wondered about that. Similarly, it's disruptive to the authority of the courts, judicial system, etc. It shows contempt.

        The only explanation that seems plausible is a demand for instant gratification from the people overseeing those doing the work. "I have to finish this or I'll get yelled at," if you will.

    I guess it makes sense, since both Trump and these business leaders think they rule the world and can do whatever they want. Renaming a country seems a minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

    Of course, now they also need to rename Lake Amorica, Gulf of Amorica, The Fédération Internationale de Trump Association (FITA) and so on.

    Maybe it's a good thing in principle that AI is exposing a split between people who do and don't care about the outcome of the work they do. But despite that it's probably going to end up doing more net harm than good in practice.
