Not this again. You need to account for underemployment. You can't just ignore underemployment and claim everything is fine. The graduate job market in the UK for example has collapsed [1]. This does not mean you are going to see a sudden spike in unemployment. This is how universities still game their statistics by claiming 90% of their grads are in employment within 6 months.

I envy the earlier generations who got to reach adulthood before our society began collapsing into hell, and I pity the children who grew up in the hell of my teenage years. Well the economy is doing well and they are building the infrastructure around ai so of course there hasn't been mass unemployment.

I predict it will take 5-10 years before there is a drastic effect on the general job market. They still need to build the systems and audit what employees are expendable.
