That's only true if consumers are willing to give up the ecosystem and move elsewhere if they don't. The same way that users have (somewhat) accepted Windows's own sins as the cost of doing business, I'd expect the same here.
Apple on the other hand forces you to use Siri and Apple Intelligence regardless.
I guess it makes sense. Why bother making your data go through Apple’s private computing cloud when you can just hand it over directly to the Alphabet overlords, right?
