    I do agree here and would even go further: if a text is good I do not care whether it came from a human or AI. What I don't like: bad texts are harder to detect (especially when AI generated)

    It is genuinely exhausting to rebuke the content of walls of LLM slop though.

    A lot of this frustration comes from the fact that it takes a lot less effort to generate a wall of text than to actively engage with and rebuke the points that are made in them.

    Don’t expect respect from your readers if you don’t respect them enough to formulate your own words.

      Now put yourself in the place of someone who knows what they want to say but now how to say it -- non-native speaker, not experienced in writing or structuring their thoughts, dyslexic, whatever the issue may be.

      I would suggest AI can be a bicycle for the mind. Railing against it like this is like insisting cover letters for job applications need to be hand-written.

        No it’s not. I don’t care if it’s hand written or not. I care that the author takes the time to express themselves and think through. It’s not the style, and if the author can’t write, probably they haven’t thought it thru. If the idea is hard to write down clearly the it’s probably not a very good idea. I can not really imagine knowing what to say but not knowing how to write it.

        Unfortunately, work is hard, research is hard, but people think they have a magic solution now. They don’t.

        AI written content screams “I didn’t take the time to think this through, but I need some blog visits anyway”

        Now any idiot can have a blog and flood the internet with half baked thoughts.

            You guessed wrong, and if the author writes the full essay in whatever language the AI translation should be good enough to pass as human. Shit happens because ppl are not using it for translation but for generation and to avoid thinking
