Super idea. Like an hourglass that never escapes your notice. I typically have to set two timers when I use timers: one actual timer, and a supplementary timer that dings when it's 1/3 time left on the real timer. Otherwise there's no use if I only have one abrupt ding... I can't correct course before my timer expires.

personally, I am always trying to time box tasks, to drive sense of urgency.

The thin progress line under the menu bar is a really nice touch.
