I suppose I thought it was just an artifact of space photography - like the colour of Neptune.

Mid-Autumn Festival coming up, and I was extremely satisfied to learn that the rabbit is a symbol of the moon in Chinese tradition. I never saw a person or a face in the moon - only ever a rabbit.
