Architecture diagrams don’t go stale because nobody cares, but because updating them is a separate, tedious chore from the work itself.

That’s, of course, where the Mermaid format comes in. The diagram is text; it lives in the repo and shows up in diffs, but it requires your whole team to be on board and actively maintaining it if you don’t want to quickly become outdated.

We built an embeddable bidirectional Mermaid editor that tries to resolve that. Type in the source panel and the diagram is immediately re-rendered. Or alternatively, work on the canvas directly and have the changes rewrite the Mermaid for you.

To be clear, this isn’t intended to be another standalone Mermaid editor. It’s for developers who want to bring visual flowchart editing directly into their own applications while working with the familiar Mermaid format.

We deliberately focused on flowcharts, creating a foundation that can be integrated, customized, and adapted to different product experiences.
