I’ve been building TopoStack, a free browser tool that turns real-world terrain into layered laser-cut maps and flat topographic engravings.

Pick a place, customize your design, preview it, and export SVG files for your laser software.

It’s a solo, spare-time project, built with help from AI. The project is open source, and the code is on GitHub: https://github.com/Echo-Foxtrot-Works/topostack

TopoStack is free for personal and commercial use. If it becomes a useful part of your business, please consider a donation to help support continued development. Donations are entirely optional.

Bathymetry (underwater terrain) is still a work in progress, since freely available data can be hard to find. I also plan to add more map layers, including aviation sectional charts and additional boundary overlays.

I’d love to hear what would make TopoStack more useful in your workflow, and see what you make!
