We're also building an on-prem/enterprise version for larger companies, coming later, priced separately for that market.
We wanted bare metal, VMs, and containers supported equally, with a lot less operational overhead than any of us have dealt with running Kubernetes at past jobs. K8s is a lot of machinery for what most teams actually need day to day, and we didn't want our users paying that tax just to get a box.
