I've seen many projects so far subjecting this poor fly to various manmade horrors, so I tried to do the opposite. The name is an intentional play off of "Infinite Pain" by Harris Rosenblum, a 2025 artwork in which a simulated nematode nervous system is provided with continuous pain stimuli.

In Travis Diehl's critique of this work he writes: "The piece conveys a negative aura simply in that the artists decided to build a torture chamber. Why not a nematode orgasmatron?"

I'm not convinced this is any better. A prison of stimuli is still a prison.

Not sure what to do here.

How do I move the fly around

The fly has most of its motor functions cut in order to better enjoy the sugar

To make the fly happy we only had to cut most of the motor… hang on…

A new twist on the torment nexus, oh sweet suffering.

agree with this. i don't see the point of the terrarium if the fly never moves or really changes at all, other than seeing to twitch faster when sugar is on.
