I ditched Node.js for the most part, I don't interact with it outside of outside work. SnapFire FSR is a representation of what I wanted for a long time, but nobody has done it the way I would like. It's a bit more than I envisioned, if I had to be honest, hah.

Node.js has a bad reputation, full stop. Heck, some companies don't want Node.js running as a web service without a sidecar process to talk to other internal services because of some unforseen event. Something I think introduces complexity while frontend developers want to take advantage of the latest techniques and patterns.

I think the stars aligned and SnapFire FSR is just one of the latest moves away from Node.Js ecosystem.

The examples here https://github.com/excsn/snapfire/tree/main/fsr/examples are really good examples of what you can do with it, while also serving as a way for me to explore what FSR can provide.

I think bigger companies will love native subsites, no funky routing on nginx or envoy or whatever to deal with anymore AND most of all independently deployable. True microfrontend? Haha! https://snapfirers.com/fsr/docs is a subsite. :)
