For attorneys, no matter how brilliant, even the solo efforts are almost all based on adversarial conflicts. Just the opposite of collaboration for even the most honest and admired practitioners. That's a centuries-old tradition too.

I would say the best time for all is when there's no "argument" so nothing to be adversarial about.
