I'm currently addicted to cygwin, i know weird but...it's like windows caught ze Linux virus, and it's a good virus. Frankly I don't have many reasons to use windows these days but i live the hope that one day i'll leave python/c and go back to c#/vs 2022.

  Cygwin on Windows 7 was how I computed until moving to Linux after Windows 7 support ran out. I refuse to use anything after Win 7 -- noting of value was added to the OS other than stupid UI decisions, telemetry, and aggressive updates that turn on things you turned off like telemetry. Dark patterns all over.
