Vintage cars prior to the arrival of laminated glass, didn't seem to suffer but certainly for side windows and rear tempered glass in some more recent cars it's been a mystery to me why they seem to just let go, sometimes with the help of a insignificant small bump ... but I just read about something I wasn't aware of
