I'm sorry my dude, my family and I are not going to cower in a building because creeps are getting their little LEDs put out.
I don't see people in these frames much, yet, but I have asked them to turn off any recording when I interact with anyone with them. That simple confrontation is so awkward- few of these men (I've never seen women wear them) seem prepared for people to say anything- it's pretty successful.
People need to question it en masse. if we don't apply social pressure, it will not go away.
