      Did you try clicking the HN submission link and reading the target webpage?

        I did, and the facts were not enough to make me delete my DoorDash account, and their request for DoorDash to express an opinion about ICE is very naive; standing against the government is not what I would expect of an American company.

        So, no, I will pass on this one.

    I also don't watch DoorDash to pay that fee, because that just means it comes from me and other DoorDash users, with more coming from more frequent customer.

    So this activist is really saying to all DoorDash customers: shame on you, pay more!

      This why I oppose national healthcare. I don’t want to pay for other people to get healthcare. I don’t want people to get higher wages for jobs in retail or restaurants because I don’t want to pay more. I’m a greedy bastard.

        You're jumping to conclusions about my character.

        National healthcare is good!

        But narrowly targeting a specific economic activity, seemingly arbitrarily, when that same econsonomic acitivity also provides employment to the poorer segment of the population makes no sense!

          Exactly. It’s why minimum wages are stupid. If a person is in dire straights let them be able to take a job for $1 an hour. Employment is the end that justifies the means. Notions like dignity, fairness, exploitation don’t belong in a capitalist society that is doing its best to become Ferenginar.
