I feel like the meta debate is that we're in an era where AI is capable but doesn't always have good taste. It will write really dumb code or work on the wrong things.

However, we have to remember AI is as bad as it ever will be. A lot of taste is just a matter of experience, for instance you learn a lot of tricks to avoid unnecessary cyclomatic complexity.

I have no doubt that AI will get better at a lot of tasks like that, get better "taste," and it will have it without human input.
