We consider multiple factors when deciding which thread should be retained. One of them is whether there is already an active discussion taking place, and another is the submission history of the submitter; we try to share the love around a bit rather than always funnelling it to higher-frequency submitters.

We updated the primary submission's URL with the blog post URL from this one, and made the API doc a secondary link in the thread header.
