Author here. Solo dev with a day job, forty years of writing software, and a directory full of unfinished projects. The rule I set was "this, I ship" - and the first consequence was that I couldn't be the one writing the code, because that's where I go to disappear. Claude wrote all of it. I can't convey how much that hurt. Happy to answer questions about the process.

Will I do future projects hands off? Probably not, I'm hoping this will break my optimization obsession.
