The number of AI videos getting recommended to me pushed me to disable my YouTube watch history. This has the side effect of turning off home page recommendations entirely. Now I just watch videos from people I’m subscribed. If they start releasing AI videos, I unsubscribe.

I think you are being very dismissive of all the fine, hard work that poor AI had to do to create that supersized helping of slop for you to enjoy. Maybe we need an AI-appreciation week you know, give the little bastards some love.

The video is literally marked with "Made with AI" per YouTube's policy.

I hate that this kind of content is so successful, and I think YT could do a lot to lower the algorithmic priority of AI content, but at the end of the day engagement is engagement, and those videos are hugely successful.

    People love slop.

So only the first video is marked: "Made with AI Sounds or visuals were altered or fully generated".

I have seen this label before, I thought it meant that 'some' visuals were altered or generated. But it was shocking to me that the entire video was made by AI. The video of the researcher, his voice, all the visuals - all the snakes, the stitching together - everything is AI end to end. This is not "Made with AI", this is "Made without a human".

And most such videos - the first few comments would clearly mark it as "ai slop". But these two videos there was no such comment. People seem to be engaging as if this video was completely human - or atleast it seems to me.

Could be just my perception and maybe I am just catching upto how pervasive this all is.
