A couple of months ago, I remembered that we had the NS Drawer in earlier Mac OS X releases. Turns out it is still there, and you can almost use it. Only downside is that it does not adapt to dark mode.

That fact could not hold me back, and I made a (almost) full-featured Mastodon client, which turned out pretty good. The concept is to have timeline and conversation / profiles side-by-side in a decent way. To make good use of it, there's a keyboard navigation to navigate through the timeline and into / out of conversations.

I became used to it quickly and enjoy it. You don't have to, but you can give it a spin. Download for free on website. It's still early days, and it has some issues left – but I only put really really advanced features behind a paywall. (No subscription, ofc).

The tilt is fun, but makes it uncomfortable to read. Adding some whimsy to your website is a positive thing, but please add a simple way to disable the slant. After the novelty wears off (about two seconds in) it becomes actively annoying.
