Free speech has always been about getting the government and organizations with government-level power out of the way. It's not about interpersonal mandates.

Speaking anything you want may engender consequences. There are consequences for sure, which will often result in personal suffering (change to relationships, work, etc). The one thing you won't suffer is being arrested by your government for saying it...unless you're Comey (86 47) or Lux Claridge (clapping) or Anna King (arrested by national guard) or a host of other abuses of power under this administration and social environment.

Free speech isn't free of consequences. Rights come with responsibilities and understanding where someone's rights may stop and someone else's rights might begin.
