    As much as I don't like von der Leyen, I don't think this is true. The current EU leadership, vdL on top, has bet everything on supporting Ukraine against Russia, whatever the costs for the EU. And I don't think Russia is interested in a weak EU either- which probably means more subservience to the geopolitical goals of the US.

    also article content and scope seems pretty much just attacking, while referencing a few obvious things or episodes without real motivs beside anti green deal

      "Final Countdown" does not sound very informative for an article? And click baiting or not, "the end of the EU is near" is what the article actually argues about, so it is not misleading as for the content of the article itself, and not click baiting in this way.

      Also I can see just a preview to the article. It feels more like ranting, but the full article might contain more structure and arguments so it is hard to judge by this.

      Meh. The article's titled "Final Countdown", which (on HN) tells me nothing about the article. Vs. the subtitle is nicely informative.

      From a quick skim, I'll agree that the article is semi-coherent junk content.
