    This is awesome to see. I know its still in the early simulation stages, but do you have a rough idea what your communication budget (a_fwd) would translate to in practice? It's currently move or talk, but moving is slow and talking is fast so does the forwarding mean extra compute from the static nodes or spectrum/bw sharing for the active nodes?

    How long until this kind of approach is deployed in real robotics applications? also does it have to only be space? it seems like there are at least a few problems this could help w/ in construction etc down here on earth

    It's amazing to see how biological repair processses inspired this work, a very interesting and scalable approach to autonomous repair in modular spacecraft! Worth a read!

      Absolutely, and spacecraft are a perfect place for them because otherwise weak actuation systems can actually be used in microgravity!
