Jokes aside, I know everyone says the notch “disappears” after owning a Mac for a while, but it’s oddly something I never got over.
It still gets messed up by the menu bar. Unless you install third party software, items can just be disappeared by it. You can even lose your mouse cursor in it.
It feels like Apple intended to enhance it with FaceID and when that never panned out we were stuck with it because all MacBook chassis are 5 year plans.
The folding iPhone is rumored to ditch FaceID in favor of TouchID. I predict the next MacBook product redesign will just have a webcam punch out hole, or maybe a behind-display webcam.
