In particular, the Human Rights Act means that the UK cannot control its border, despite the population repeatedly voting for decreased immigration and stronger borders.
So far, politicians have not wanted to change these structural issues, so they keep on getting removed, as the population becomes ever more enraged, by instances such as this:
