I started working on this 3 years ago because I was frustrated that there wasn't a go-to package for video playback. At first, I just focused on getting videos to play as reliably as I could, but over time, I started adding less common features like reverse playback, speed adjustment, seamless looping, subtitles, etc. The goal is to eventually have an extremely comprehensive library that integrates with all of the major multimedia libraries. 99.99% of the code is written by hand since I don't see the point in using AI for projects that are for fun.
