“ You ask me if your verses are good. You ask me. You have asked others before me. You send them to journals. You compare them with other poems and you worry if certain editors refuse your efforts. Now, as you have given me permission to advise you, I beg you to give up all that. You are directing your thoughts outwards, and that above all is what you should not do at present. No one can advise and help you, no one. There is only one way. Withdraw into yourself. Explore the reason that bids you write, find out if it has spread out its roots in the very depths of your heart; confess to yourself whether you would have to die, if writing should be denied to you. Above all, ask yourself in the stillest hour of the night, “Must I write?” Dig deep into yourself for an answer. And if this answer should be in the affirmative, if you can meet this solemn question with a simple strong “I must,” then build up your life according to this necessity.”

    - Rilke

I was accused of being AI a few posts ago. I think it’s hard get the cadence out of your head if you talk to AI a lot. Especially when making certain kinds of arguments. I was thinking about dropping a few more f bombs, maybe that would seem less AI like.

Similar experience here. The idea was mine but I wanted to get proof read and correction using AI and posted comment, but it was blocked because it is written by AI. Maybe I'm half guilty, but wondering what is definition if 'AI written'. If idea is mine, can I argue it is still my writing? Or if I get any of AI help it is AI writing?

We spent millennia trying to write like the machines. Now the machines write like we used to dream of writing. The only way to prove we're human? Write worse than them.

Nothing... keep writing, who cares? It's your art
