Doge will likely be a minor footnote, considering everything else he’s done.

The hundreds of thousands of deaths he is directly responsible for will be the defining part of his legacy, as others race to create better electric cars and spaceships and social platforms. The amount of pain and suffering he has caused is immeasurable. There is no coming back from this.

(He knows this, too, given his recent panic on the subject.)

The majority of Ebola deaths are a result of the locals not allowing medical support near the bodies or the infected and also rubbing the bodies of the infected and rubbing themselves are part of some ritual or traditional practice while screaming. There are videos of this dangerous behavior, not posting here as they are far too graphic. Aid groups would not be permitted anywhere near the infected.

If you are interesting in helping people in these situations consider reaching out to rescue.org [1] and let them know. I am not affiliated but have spoken to them in the past. They are great and truly unique people.

There is ample evidence of many other deaths directly caused by Musk's actions, unrelated to Ebola. For example, sudden withdrawal of critical medical care and food supplies. People were relying on aid to survive, the aid got cut off suddenly and without any tapering period or notice, and people died. There were a number of articles with journalists speaking to family members of the deceased, e.g. https://www.newyorker.com/culture/the-new-yorker-documentary...

Perhaps so. In the case of the United States Agency for International Development I think they brought that on themselves by spending most of their budget on bribing officials and using propagandist warfare against Americans. Too many people know about that now. It was a good run but it may be time for other aid organizations to take their place and receive their budget.

              > spending most of their budget on bribing officials

What source do you have for this?

It's wild how otherwise-reasonable people have fallen for this tripe. It's not dissiilar from how a good portion of the left unthinkingly bought the lie that racism is the root cause of every problem in the country.

I'll believe this is more than posturing when European governments start banning cameras-only self driving and/or investigating Musk and the DOGE bros for potential crimes against humanity (thereby preventing them from entering or doing business in ICC-jurisdiction countries).
