    It's clear that parents won't parent under the current system of incentives.

    That is why we must align parental responsibility and obligation with legal liability. Parents found allowing their kids access to social media must be face the same punishment as if they game them heroin.

    Most of all, this doesn't impose a burden on everyone else to give up their privacy, doesn't expect corporations to self-regulate - they can't/won't, and doesn't give into the self-defeating nihilism of giving up and saying, "Sorry kids, too bad!"
