Tested it out and found it to be accurate on a route I ride regularly. Bookmarked for future use. Would like a mobile app ideally though.

Thank you for checking it out. On the mobile app: it's a PWA, so you can add it to your home screen and it opens like an app. It also keeps your last forecast offline, so it still comes up at a start line with no signal.

I went browser-first on purpose so there's nothing to install and no account, but I'd like to know what a native app would give you? Push notifications is one thing I can think of. This will help me consider this feature in the future.

Was thinking of using this vs epic ride weather. Would want on iOS. Typically I'm checking ride weather and conditions the morning off, an hour or two before heading out, and usually on mobile.

I'm a fan of Epic Ride Weather myself. Much of my motivation for building this came from wanting more features out of ERW. The core idea is the same but Wattcast now has some additional nice-to-haves I've been wanting. Particularly the best time to leave suggestion and the departure time slider.

For your use case, try adding it to your home screen on iOS. Share then Add to Home Screen, and it opens full screen like an app with your last route already loaded and you can do a quick check before rolling out. It's not an app but might satisfy your need until I make progress on the app front. Right now keeping it browser only is deliberate to have less code surface area while in early development. Keep your eyes peeled for a future app though!
