I think the problem is that all of the smaller platforms are just purchasing tokens from the bigger platforms, so there isn't that much of a competitive advantage. In addition to this, the larger platforms could easily replicate any functionality a smaller platform that adds some new feature (since all data is going to them anyway).

This will only change when when anyone can run LLMs with off-the-shelf hardware and we have actual competition.
