I wrote a blog entry about my personal thoughts on this debacle. I'm new here, idk the protocol, so I'll just chat.
I wanted to hear what others thought of this move. Because it could be a sign of the coming storm, like if we're in a world where the top AI companies are silently routing requests and filtering on levels we can't see or audit, it makes the local AI (or at least a host you control) a lot more like a necessity.
Like, I get they might really like to trap-door a Chinese researcher specifically, but what does anyone else win out of a move like that?
