swe2 in big tech here, my strat is to ride it out as long as possible while building an app/product on the side - but specifically an app that has a personalized data moat and especially a great UX.

modern AI tools are stuck in the chatbot experience, and while they may catch up at some point, building a product that is so ingrained in the user is the way - building seamless experiences that just do what the user wants it to without asking - and knows before the user thinks to - this is what to solve right now
