To be serious, though. This is all just part of the narrative to make LLMs seem more scary to the public, so they think they are more capable than they actually are.
I'm honestly split between whether it's an investor pitch or attempt to pull up the ladder. I don't think it can effectively be both, since the former means dialling hysteria to eleven which makes the latter more likely to backfire. (See: Altman.)
