It’s crazy that this is being turned into a racial issue. It’s so clear what happened. I wish the court hearings weren’t closed so the public can follow it more clearly. But it seems that once the friends and teammates of Anthony provided testimony that placed fault on Anthony, it was effectively decided.

Also interesting is that all the black jurors who were initially selected were removed, because each of them basically said that they couldn’t be impartial in this case. On the one hand, it’s a good thing they admitted this honestly. On the other hand, it strains the public response to this highly notorious case. The final jury was diverse racially but having no black people is now being seen as a miscarriage of justice.

But in the end the facts seem simple to me. Anthony was in a different team’s tent. He wouldn’t leave when asked. He threatened them. And he brought a large knife to a track meet. He could have left at any time. Instead he escalated and stabbed another minor.
