    They’re a great way for retailers to rip you off with “dynamic pricing” where that just raise the price whenever they want. Such as raising the price of water when it’s hot out. I think that’s actually called gouging and is illegal.

    I do kind of want them for labeling servers though.

    In my experience they say "Back soon!" and no price, in front of a stack of the things. Technology can turn human error into the ridiculous.

    Electronic e-paper shelf labels have been around for at least some 20+ years or so. This article feels like a nothing-burger to me.
