It looks like you've been breaking the site guidelines repeatedly and egregiously. When users create entire series of accounts to do that with, we tend to shadowban them. This is an obvious anti-abuse measure.

If you don't want to be banned on HN, your best bet would be to review https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and stick to the rules. That includes not posting flamebait and/or unsubstantive comments, and not creating new accounts routinely.

Hi There, this is the first time I am posting on HN so my apologies if I have messed this up. I have read through the link you provided buy am struggling to see where or what I have done wrong here? Can you point me in the right direction?

      Thanks Karl

You know it's bs. One comment someone doesn't like results in a shadowban for a fairly new account. You get a couple of upvotes, then some downvotes and the account is finished. What's the point in using a shadowbanned account instead of creating a new one? Shadowbans don't expire, right?

Assuming I'm looking at the correct related accounts, the situation is as I described it.

If you want to say what posts/accounts you're talking about, I can take another look and check.

he’s right; it happened to me too. new low-karma accounts can’t post anything without being banned, blocked or flagged. wanna bet they won’t even let me post this comment?
