    Going to focus on one example the article makes, which is the usual "AI can help make cures for diseases". It's disingenuous to think this will actually help the public in any meaningful way that would somehow negate the other harms. My proof is that we already have existing cures for various ailments and yet those are conveniently locked behind for-profit health care.

    The sad truth is, the real benefactors of AI (other than the wealthy of course) are the workers who have a job so cushy that they would rather let everyone else burn rather than spend another second typing code by hand.
