They know its value: a potentially educated electorate. So much has been done to roll it back to where the politicians want; an uneducated one.

It’s gotten so bad that I had to sit through a 6 minute long AI-generated video from US Bank about my escrow fees going up $36/year. We can’t possibly send out one line of text; we need to do everything as a video.

That’s the world they want us in.

It's almost as if some lawmakers are the worst kind of cynics; they know the price of everything and the value of nothing. But this is a democracy, and as H. L. Mencken put it:
