Not totally clear on what this is saying. Pay-for-curation isn’t absent from the web today, but most of all the $/unit <-> unit volume connection feels core to Costco, and isn’t really touched on here.

If streaming becomes metered on $/unit (article/track/episode? Or minutes/words?) then I think the Costco model would actually be in play?
