Folks are upset that an LLM didn't suggest "turning to God" in a moment of need. Exactly which god would that be? Should it pick at random? Geolocate you by IP? Or maybe suggest one that "fits" based on your past prompts?
In Foundation, Asimov imagined a nuclear priesthood that kept the secrets of energy generation hidden behind religious rituals. Would the complaintaints here wish for something like that, a state-mandated AI-sold belief system?
